What does "Rival" mean and what is the innovative technology behind it?

When it came to naming the new CANiK®️ sport pistol, the challenge was to find a name that precisely conveyed the goal we pursued in developing the weapon. The goal was simple: This platform should be equal to or better than anything used in the world of competitive shooting! With this thought, the name quickly became clear; this weapon was undoubtedly the "RIVAL".

No other name could represent the design so clearly. A model that can challenge all other pistols. With features such as an improved beavertail, an aggressive front slide contour, a deeper trigger guard angle, the new Holster-Fit-and-Lock feature (HFL), and the new magwell frame design. The adjustable rear sight and fiberglass front sight significantly enhance target acquisition. The SFx RIVAL®️ features a modular frame that allows for easy disassembly of the weapon. With this design, the user can disassemble their pistol down to the smallest parts and then reassemble it using only the CANiK®️ punch tool. CANiK®️ continues to employ the world's most advanced technology in trigger design to develop the diamond-cut, 90° angled aluminum trigger of the SFx RIVAL®️, which, along with the shortened pre-travel and reset distance, increases speed and accuracy. In addition to all these technical improvements, aesthetic aspects were also considered in the development of the RIVAL®️: With the unique Cerakote coating color CANiK®️ Rival Grey and H-122 Gold on the trigger, magazine button, magazine base plate, magazine funnel, and slide catch lever, this weapon is a real eye-catcher at any shooting range.

With its 127mm barrel, the SFx RIVAL®️ can participate unrestricted in IDPA, IPSC, and USPSA competitions.
