After removing the magazine floor plate in the original magazine box, the insert magazine can be easily inserted.
The two side spring-loaded locking sliders of the insert magazine lock the insert magazine in the original magazine box and can also be easily removed.

Not suitable for calibers 7x64 and 9.3x62!

Converts top loading Mauser 98 rifles into detachable magazine models without alteration.
All that is needed is to remove the military floorplate & spring and replace with this magazine.
Magazine is steel, with a blued finish. Fits long action cartridges .25-06, .270, 30-06 and 8mm.
If using pointed cartridges, a u-shaped cut-out is required at the front to facilitate the slightly longer cartridge.
