 The Swiss long rifle G96-11 was introduced in 1896 as standard armament for the Swiss Army.

The Swiss Army was the first army to standardize straight-pull repeaters.

With the decision for this weapon, it cannot be overlooked that Switzerland was technically ahead of its neighboring countries in the field of military repeaters by several decades.

Although the G96-11 long rifles were never used in a military conflict, Swiss rifles and carbines are known for their very good precision and shooting performance.

The rifle has a valid proof mark. The barrel has been expertly replaced by a Swiss gunsmith.
