The extremely robust housing of the Viper PST, with a main tube diameter of 30 mm, is made from a single piece of aluminum. The Vortex ArmorTek coating protects the outer lenses from dirt, grease, and scratches. O-ring seals make the PST waterproof and prevent the ingress of dust and dirt.
Thanks to the high-quality XD™ lens elements, the Vortex Viper PST delivers a clear, sharp, and distortion-free image even in twilight.
The Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 is XR™ Multi-Coated: The unique coating of the lenses ensures top-notch light transmission and excellent anti-reflective properties on all glass surfaces. Argon gas filling prevents internal fogging.
The 10-step adjustable illuminated reticle of the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 is ready for any situation. 3 steps for twilight and 5 steps for daytime shooting leave nothing to be desired. The package is rounded off with 2 brightness levels for use with a night vision device. Between each of the 10 brightness levels, there is an "OFF" position for quickly finding the preferred brightness intensity and, of course, for conserving battery life.
The control knob of the illuminated reticle is positioned on the side at the height of the turrets on the PST Gen 2, making it easy to operate in various shooting positions.
The adjustment turrets are easy to operate without tools and are cleanly and clearly divided.
