Due to popular demand for a larger schnitzel for adults, the time has come!
Schnitzel Germany has once again put in a lot of effort and presents the schnitzel "TRI", a fully grown all-round knife for all kinds of outdoor activities such as camping, bushcrafting, hiking, etc. The "TRI" complements the children's and youth models "UNU" and "DU", so that from now on the whole family, from young to old, is well equipped with a good tool for shared activities in nature.
The versatile "TRI" is available in two variants. An olive green version, which is equipped with a black blade and has a tactical look, and a bright orange variant, which is equipped with a stonewashed blade and thus stands out extremely.
With a blade length of approximately 10.4 cm, the "TRI" is a compact outdoor knife that still has a good size to confidently handle all tasks at hand. The drop-point blade with a high flat grind and a blade thickness of 0.5 mm directly behind the cutting edge guarantees good cutting properties while maintaining robustness.
The popular stainless Swedish steel Sandvik 14C28N (58-60 HRC) used here is perfectly suited for the purposes of the "TRI", and the 4 mm blade thickness allows the knife to handle its tasks with ease. The blade spine tapers towards the tip, but does not appear delicate. Furthermore, the spine is angular enough to ignite a campfire with a fire steel. To provide a secure grip for the thumb even when working in wet conditions or with gloves, the blade spine features effective jimping extending into the front grip area.
The handle of the "TRI" is made of robust and non-slip G-10. Its ergonomics ensure a secure grip in various holding positions. Additional safety for the different applications is provided by the finger guard against the slipping of the index finger onto the blade and the paracord lanyard attached via the eyelet. The handle scales of the knife are secured with so-called chain plate screws and can be easily opened with an M6 inner hexagon or Allen key for cleaning the "TRI" if necessary.
The ultra-robust and weatherproof Kydex sheath leaves nothing to be desired. It is constructed to be Molle-compatible and features a multi-mounting system on the back for carrying the knife, e.g., on a backpack or belt (horizontally/vertically). A pronounced and ergonomic thumb groove/thumb ramp on the top allows the knife to slide comfortably out of its sheath in any situation.
