The R8 Ultimate sets new standards in terms of function and design. Its split, ergonomically perfected stock ensures both a completely relaxed grip of the shooting hand and optimal control of the weapon during supported, precise shooting. With newly developed modular equipment options, the R8 Ultimate can be precisely tailored to individual needs.

Trigger

The dry direct trigger of the R8 provides the perfect foundation for a precise shot. The shot is released at approximately 750 g trigger weight without any delay.

Removable Magazine

The magazine and trigger group have been merged into a compact unit. The magazine release buttons are ideally positioned above the trigger guard for quick and intuitive handling. The magazine can be removed quickly and "blindly." When removing the magazine with the integrated trigger group, the R8 automatically relaxes, and with the magazine removed, the cocking lever cannot engage. This is an important safety criterion to protect against misuse by unauthorized persons.

Straight-Pull Repeating System

This allows for lightning-fast reloading and quick shot delivery while maintaining a relaxed body position. The eyes and weapon remain focused on the target, resulting in a significant time gain when reacquiring the target. The hand cocking mechanism deliberately tensions the firing pin just before the shot is fired. No mechanical system can offer the safety of a relaxed firing pin. If no shot is fired, a light pressure on the cocking lever is sufficient to relax the firing pin. Accidental opening is excluded with a relaxed firing pin; a light tap on the cocking lever is enough to unlock the bolt. If the magazine along with the trigger unit is not in the weapon, the firing pin cannot be tensioned. This provides additional safety against unauthorized access.

Closed Design

The closed design of the R8 prevents foreign objects from entering from the outside. It goes without saying that all metals used are corrosion-resistant or protected from corrosion by appropriate surface finishing. The magazine is protected from dirt and foreign objects by a protective cover when it is outside the weapon.

The B2 2-12x50 IC riflescope has been specifically developed for use with attachment technology. Each model in the series has passed the recoil tests with flying colors.

With an overall length up to four centimeters shorter than comparable riflescopes, the Blaser B2 riflescopes are extremely compact. In hunting, this short design ensures that the attachment device can be comfortably operated in the shooting position and that the center of gravity of the weapon is not unnecessarily shifted forward. Another advantage of the short length is the short travel distances of the moving lenses of the zoom system, resulting in better mechanical precision and more stable point of impact when changing magnification. At the same time, the mechanical robustness compensates for the additional stress on the riflescope when shooting with an attachment device.

In combination with the easy-to-mount, absolutely repeatable attachment mounts and the corresponding attachment optics, the Blaser B2 riflescopes become true specialists for night hunting.

The riflescope and attachment device can be quickly and easily connected with just a few hand movements – with absolute repeatability. Both optics thus become a precise unit.
