Ruger® has expanded the Mark IV™ 22/45™ Lite family of rimfire pistols with a new model that offers a standard Shield™ RMS base instead of the Picatinny rail, making it Optic Ready. This allows for a lower mounting of the optic and reduces parallax.

Please note:

The difference between MK IV and MK IV 22/45 models is the grip. The grip of the MK IV has a sharper angle and is made of aluminum in almost all variants (exception: stainless models with steel grips). The magazines are identifiable by the short magazine base. The grip of the MK IV 22/45 has a steeper angle and the same grip profile as the Colt 1911 .45 ACP (hence the name), so even grips for the 1911 fit. This grip is always made of plastic. The magazines are identifiable by the extended magazine base. Magazines from the Mark III series also fit.
