Thermopads consist of a mixture of natural substances: iron powder, salt, activated carbon, water, and vermiculite. This mixture is surrounded by a soft membrane that allows the entry of oxygen. In combination with oxygen, the iron powder heats up. Thermopads are designed to generate heat for between 6 and 12 hours, depending on the item, immediately after opening the airtight bag.
