Pistol 08 P08 Mauser-Werke, Oberndorf, Marinepistole Model 1937, 9 mm Luger. Version with 20cm barrel, the longer standard variant (often used for officers, navy, artillery, or special purposes). Classic toggle-lock mechanism.

The Pistol 08 was introduced in the early 20th century (developed by Georg Luger) and was standard service pistol in the Empire, later used in modified form. In the 1930s, several companies (including Mauser, DWM, etc.) produced the P.08 for the Reichswehr and later Wehrmacht/Kriegsmarine. Stamps like S/42 are typical manufacturing codes for Mauser deliveries under the DWM/Codex system of the 1930s/40s.
