With this mirage band the waiting times for barrel cooling are finally a thing of the past. Our luxury class mirage bands, made of heavy, durable Cordura fabric with 40 cm Velcro surface, allow for an enormous adjustment and adjustment range. A reinforced, replaceable rubber band on the back (scope rail) ensures a tight, distortion-free and sag-free fit and keeps the mirage band taut over its entire length. This mirage band is designed for mounting between a Weaver or Picatinny scope rail in conjunction with a muzzle brake such as Ebi-Arms muzzle brakes (see picture). For practical and UNIVERSAL mounting, we provide you with a UNIVERSAL BACKMOUNT KIT for easy rear attachment to the scope bases! This set consists of a mounting bone, which is exchanged for the screw holder, and an individually adjustable Velcro strap. You can easily shorten this Velcro strap to the desired/required length with scissors. Check out the pictures !!! A mirage band is a fabric band that is stretched longitudinally over the barrel of large and small caliber sniper, hunting or sport rifles. It shields heat waves, the so-called MIRAGE of the heated air that occurs during multiple shots through the hot barrel and affects the sighting. Especially when using telescopic sights, a mirage band is indispensable for precision and sniper shooters. Every target beyond 50 meters becomes almost impossible to hit after a few shots due to the heating of the barrel and the resulting mirage.
