Replacing the firing pin spring (=leaf spring in the frame under the grip panels) allows you to achieve a significantly lighter and more pleasant trigger pull when shooting in DA (double action - pulling through or shooting without previously cocking the hammer). The trigger pull weight is reduced by about 40%! Additionally, you protect the firing pin and hammer from excessive strain caused by the strong original springs.

With the 3 trigger springs (= the spring that is in the return slide, directly behind the trigger), you can individually adjust the actual trigger weight when shooting in normal SA (single action - cocking the hammer first, then pulling the trigger). The lower the chosen spring strength (marked with #12, #13 & #14 lb), the lower the trigger resistance. With the weakest (#12 lb) spring, most revolvers, based on our experience, fire at around 1250 grams of trigger weight. The trigger springs (three different strengths) also fit in S&W revolvers with J frames (the firing pin spring only fits K, L, & N frames)!!
