The very compact and lightweight assault rifle SG553 AL US SB (Aluminum, AR15 magazine compatible, Short Barrel) was specifically designed for special forces or authorities. Thanks to its compact size, the SG553 SB is a versatile weapon that can be used in any situation, especially in urban environments. Perfect for short to medium effective ranges (up to 300m).

Extraordinary workmanship combined with first-class engineering makes this rifle resilient and reliable under all conceivable conditions, and it is favored by both governmental users and hunters.

The name addition "Sport" indicates a civilian model. There is no sporting approval (not available for sports shooters). However, it can be purchased by hunters with a valid hunting license.

In the US version, the rifle is compatible with all conventional M16 / AR15 magazines.

With dimensions close to a submachine gun, the SG 553 is the most compact version of the SIG550 family. The SG 553 no longer has a spring behind the bolt but on the gas rod. There is a Long Barrel (LB) and Short Barrel (SB) version. This weapon here is an SB version.

The depicted B&T AG RBS suppressor with Rotex interface and the ELCAN Spectre are not included in the delivery and can be purchased separately.
