New HD 1,024x768 @ 12 µm thermal sensor
The Merger LRF XL50 offers the next level of thermal imaging technology. The image produced by the new 1,024x768 pixel thermal sensor is characterized by high resolution and detail richness. It is ideal for unrestricted identification of trophy animals. Silhouettes, anatomy, and behavioral characteristics of the animals are clearly visible and can be distinctly differentiated.

High image sharpness across the entire magnification range of 2.5–20x
The variable 2.5 to 20x magnification provides improved focusing and better object recognition at long distances. The HD sensor ensures high detail accuracy of the image across the entire magnification range. The zoom can change either in steps of 2 or continuously for a FOV/magnification ratio optimized for each situation.

Wide field of view
The Merger LRF XL50 offers a wide field of view for easy scanning and spotting. Search landscapes in HD quality with a wide field of view of 14 degrees and optimal 2.5x magnification. The large-format sensor provides the best FOV/magnification ratio in its class even at high zoom levels up to 20x.

Extra-long detection range of 2,300 m
The powerful lens, combined with the professional 12 µm / 1024x768 pixel HD thermal imaging sensor, offers exceptional detection capabilities. A standard object of 1.8 m height can be detected at a distance of 2,300 m in complete darkness.

Classical binocular design
The Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are designed in the classic style of daylight binoculars. With its compact form factor, this thermal imaging binocular fits comfortably in the hand while still offering an aesthetic exterior and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are easily accessible, and the most commonly used digital functions can be activated with a single touch.

Comfortable observation with both eyes
The optical design of the Merger LRF binoculars is fully adapted to natural vision. A person typically receives visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Additionally, observing with both eyes is less tiring than with one eye. Accordingly, the binocular Merger LRF XL50 offers better detection of small or weak objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios compared to similar monocular thermal devices at the same technical level. The eye distance of the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm to accommodate the individual requirements of each user.

Precise laser rangefinder with a range of 1,000 m
Accurately estimating the distance to the target object is a crucial factor in making the right decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows for distance measurements in single measurement and continuous measurement mode with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.

Combined dual battery system
The Merger LRF XL50 operates with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, and the other removable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A long operating time is guaranteed with a single charge. An imprint on the outside of the removable battery allows for precise determination of the correct position. This enables a quick and safe replacement of an empty battery with a new one in complete darkness by touch.

3-stage sensitivity enhancement
The selection of the signal amplification level combined with new filter algorithms with fine brightness and contrast settings provides the hunter with great opportunities for long-distance observation under various weather and temperature conditions. The amplification setting helps define the trophy characteristics of animals and ensures a clear representation of objects and background in the field of view.

Light-sensitive F50/1.0 germanium lens
The F50/1.0 germanium lens offers high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. Thanks to the high-precision manufacturing of the optical elements of the lens, the image produced by the sensor of the Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars is characterized by its clarity and detail accuracy.

Rugged magnesium alloy housing
The Merger LRF is designed for constant, often harsh use. The magnesium alloy housing is both lightweight and stable. It reliably protects the internal components of the thermal imaging device from shocks, drops, moisture, heat, and cold. At the same time, the metal housing effectively dissipates heat from the electronics and increases the stability of the device's operation during long-term observations.

Built-in photo and video recorder
The Merger LRF has a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of the Merger LRF can store hours of video footage and tens of thousands of photos. A single button press is enough to photograph an interesting subject or start a video recording. The footage can be copied to a computer hard drive via a USB-C connection. Additionally, 16 GB of storage space is available to store photos and videos taken with the Merger LRF in the Pulsar Cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile application, sign in, and connect the device via Wi-Fi to a smartphone.

Stream Vision 2: Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices
The integrated Wi-Fi connects the Merger LRF with Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a variety of possibilities such as wireless software updates for the device, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, publishing photo and video content captured with the device on social media or transferring to messengers, remote control of digital device functions, and access to the latest news from Pulsar. Additionally, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos taken with the device.

Support for two Wi-Fi frequency bands 2.4 / 5 GHz
The Merger LRF thermal imaging cameras supplement the standard frequency range for connecting to smartphones via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel with an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers higher bandwidth, faster data transfer rates, interference resistance, and improved connection stability, enabling more productive and easier operation of the thermal imaging camera with a smartphone.

High-contrast HD AMOLED displays
While the HD AMOLED displays of the Merger provide a sharp, high-contrast, and colorful field of view, the AMOLED technology ensures a flawless, smooth, high-definition image and low power consumption.

8 color palettes to choose from
With a selection of 8 color palettes, the user can better observe their field of view, optimize the device for specific tasks, and adapt to changing observation conditions. White-Hot, Black-Hot, and Red-Hot are optimal for object detection, while Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the chances of detection and identification. Red-Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are best suited for long observations at night.

Waterproof according to IPX7 (submersion)
Waterproof according to IPX7 to protect against heavy rain, snow, or other precipitation: The Merger LRF XL50 thermal imaging binoculars are designed to function flawlessly even after being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Operation at extreme temperatures -25 to +50 °C
The housing, batteries, optics, and electronics of the Merger LRF are designed for use in a wide temperature range. The Merger ensures reliable and effective performance in freezing cold down to -25 °C.

Distance sensor for discreet use
Observation in the dark requires a covert approach so that the hunted animals are not startled by your presence. The "Display Off" function in standby mode is a common method to prevent light leakage from the screen through uncovered eyepieces. To simplify this task, the Merger LRF is equipped with a built-in distance sensor. It serves as a screen switch to prevent light leakage from uncovered eyepieces in darkness. Once the binoculars are removed from the eyes, the distance sensor turns off both displays. When the binoculars are placed back to the eyes, both displays turn on, providing excellent image quality.
