The molded, one-piece chassis and the adjustable rear stock assembly are made from fiberglass-reinforced nylon to ensure strength, rigidity, and stability, providing a solid foundation for accuracy with every single shot. The adjustable rear stock features a flat Picatinny rail that facilitates the attachment of a rear bipod. A molded window provides a mounting option for your squeeze bag, and a QD metal socket makes it easy to attach a sling. The Quick-Fit adjustable precision rimfire stock allows for quick and easy adjustments of pull length and comb height to ensure the right fit for a variety of shooter sizes, outerwear, and shooting positions. Integrated markings in the chassis help you quickly return to a previous position. By adjusting the bolt throw of the Big-Gun, shooters can switch from a 1-1/2-inch bolt throw with rimfire to a 3-inch bolt throw with centerfire and short action, reducing the likelihood of the bolt being short-stroked in competition. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger is externally adjustable and has a pull weight range of 2.25 to 5 pounds; the wrench is stored in a buttstock compartment. Ruger's own AR-pattern pistol grip and safety selector provide a greater reach for maximum control and access to the 45° rotating safety selector. Can be configured with most AR grips and selectors. The anodized 0-MOA Picatinny scope base allows for easy mounting and zeroing optics. Oversized chamber handle for secure bolt manipulation (as seen on the Ruger Precision® rifle). The free-floating 15-inch aluminum handguard is made of black hard-coated anodized aluminum and features Magpul® M-LOK® slots on all four sides for more versatility for long-range scopes and easy mounting of M-LOK-compatible rails and accessories. The target barrel is made from 1137 alloy steel, cold-hammered to create an extremely precise rifle for excellent accuracy. The barrel can be easily replaced by a competent gunsmith using AR wrenches and headspace gauges. The barrel features a 1/2-inch-28 thread for standard muzzle accessories, such as the Silent-SR® suppressor, and comes with a factory-installed thread protector that covers both the threads and the crown. Accepts Ruger® Magnum rimfire magazines, including the JMX-1 rotary magazine and the BX-15® Magnum magazine. Also includes: a 9-round JMX-1 magazine.
