The HK MR 308-A3 builds on the worldwide success of the HK MR 223 as its "big brother" and opens a new caliber dimension to the proven reliability that has been established thousands of times. Heckler & Koch implemented numerous technical requirements with the HK MR 308-A3 concept, which directly stem from the daily operational experience of users.

With its .308 Winchester caliber, it not only provides the necessary range and penetration power – the handling of the weapon has also been designed in a way that the shooter is already accustomed to from the HK MR 223 or comparable assault rifles.

By consistently continuing the modular system principle, the HK MR 308-A3 achieves a maximum degree of flexibility and modularity. The result is 100% interchangeability of components within the weapon system. At the same time, the patented free-floating handguard system (MIL-STD-1913) from Heckler & Koch allows the shooter absolute freedom in choosing their special accessories. Unlike conventional steel magazines, Heckler & Koch uses a lighter and highly durable polymer magazine for the HK MR 308-A3.
