The lightest spring can be used for lighter trigger configurations with aftermarket connectors, firing pins, safeties, and spring sets. The heaviest spring is designed for use with self-defense or duty firearms where stronger trigger pulls are not an issue and harder primer strikes are a must. The two springs in the middle of the range allow the user a sliding selection of options as needed, with 4 pounds being too light but 6 pounds being too heavy for the desired trigger characteristics or primer strike.
