The upper receiver of the Mauser M15 is made of CNC-machined aluminum, while the lower housing is made of fiberglass-reinforced but lightweight plastic. The cocking lever can be set on both sides in 3 freely selectable positions. The wing safety is also operable from both sides. You thus receive a weapon suitable for both left-handed and right-handed shooters. The barrel of the small-caliber sport shooter rifle is a highly precise hammered barrel, making it ideal for sporting use. The rifle barrel of the Mauser M15 is 16.3 inches long. A muzzle brake is screwed onto the front of the barrel.

The folding stock is adjustable in 3 stages for an optimal fit. For an even more comfortable grip, the adjustable cheek rest provides additional support. Aiming with the Mauser M15 is also lightning-fast via the detachable flip-up sights. Front sight adjustment is also possible here. On the Picatinny rail, you can also mount another sighting optic, such as a red dot sight or a riflescope, as desired. Picatinny rails are also attached around the fore-end for a pistol grip or a bipod. The two-stage metal trigger is perfectly tuned to the available 110-round drum magazines.

To ensure smooth and safe operation of the small-caliber rifle, it is necessary to use small-caliber ammunition (Kleinkaliber Munition) with an extra strong load. Such .22lr ammunition is referred to as "HV," which stands for High Velocity. The higher speed of the .22 lr HV ammunition ensures that the projectile has greater kinetic energy, leading to improved ballistic performance. This positively affects the precision, trajectory, and penetration power of the projectile.

The Mauser M15 is a semi-automatic weapon that has so far not received a positive classification notice from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and therefore cannot be purchased by sport shooters. However, for hunters, acquisition is possible with a valid annual hunting license.
