For maximum precision, the metal trigger is adjustable and perfectly tuned to the 110-round drum magazine, which is available as an accessory.

To ensure smooth and safe operation of the .22 caliber rifle, it is necessary to use .22 caliber ammunition with an extra strong load. Such .22lr ammunition is referred to as "HV," which stands for High Velocity. The higher speed of the .22 lr HV ammunition ensures that the projectile has greater kinetic energy, leading to improved ballistic performance. This positively affects the precision, trajectory, and penetration power of the projectile.

The GSG-16 is a semi-automatic weapon that does not have a classification certificate from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and is therefore not available for sports shooters.
