With the Hornady Superformance V-Max in caliber .17 Hornet (1.3 g – 20 grs.), a convincing performance increase is achieved. A speed of up to 60 m/s more than usual is possible with this centerfire cartridge, also without higher gas pressure, subjectively higher recoil, or louder gunfire. Even at greater distances, one can easily make an optimal shot with high killing effect. The bullet responds immediately upon impact with the game body and disintegrates. Instant effect as desired, and the risk to the hinterland is kept to a minimum. Furthermore, the fur hunters will benefit here. Besides a 4.5 mm entry hole, the pieces (in normal cases) show no further damage. Reloading is possible. Extremely burn-stable.
