Revolver, Enfield No.2 Mk I, .38S&W, WWII, Royal British Army. The Enfield Mk I No.2 Revolver was introduced into the British Armed Forces in 1932. Like its counterparts from Webley, the Enfield Revolver also impressed with its reliability and robustness. The similarities between the revolvers were indeed so striking that Webley & Scott filed and won a lawsuit for patent infringement. In addition to its use in World War II, it was delivered in large quantities to British colonial troops after the war, where it is still in use in some places even after the dissolution of the British Commonwealth. Revolvers of this type remained in use by the British Royal Army until 1963.

The popularity of the Enfield Revolvers stems from their use in World War II. The reason for their acquisition was due to the fact that the British military was moving away from the large-caliber Webley revolvers, as the time it took recruits to acquire the necessary marksmanship was deemed too long.

The revolver is in very good condition considering its age and has a valid British proof mark.
