Information on the water-activated HydraCell energy cells: The energy cell must be immersed in water for 10-15 seconds. This way, the salt-impregnated bridge layers are moistened, and a connection between the magnesium core and the oxygen in the air is established. This initiates an electrochemical reaction that releases electrons. These are collected from the cathode of the carbon membrane and converted into usable energy. After their initial activation, the energy cells are always available under voltage and require only occasional reactivations for continuous use. The first activations can be easily done with any type of water. After that, it is beneficial to reactivate them with warm to hot water until the end of the energy cells' runtime.
