The Swiss Army was the first army to standardize straight-pull repeaters. With the decision to adopt this weapon, it is undeniable that Switzerland was technically ahead of its neighboring countries in the field of military repeaters by several decades. Although the G96-11 long rifles were never used in a military conflict, Swiss rifles and carbines are known for their very good precision and shooting performance.
