Single-shot, Waffenfabrik Bern infantry rifle 1889, cal. 22L.r., matching numbers. The Swiss long rifle model 1889 was introduced in 1889 as the standard armament of the Swiss Army. The Swiss Army was the first army to standardize straight-pull repeaters. Although the Swiss long rifles model 1889 were never used in a military conflict, Swiss rifles and carbines are known for their very good precision and shooting performance, making them very popular among sports shooters and collectors.

The rifle has a valid proof mark and is matching numbers. The weapon has been refurbished, and accordingly, its condition is very good.
