The Metso Winter Hose is one of the warmest and by far the quietest pants in the entire range of Hrkila. It is made from a breathable, water- and dirt-repellent wool blend and is insulated with a thick and warm layer of pure wool. This makes the pants a comfortable piece of clothing even in the coldest temperatures and the perfect companion for sitting hunts or active hunting in the cold season.

Winter pants for hunting
The Metso Winter Hose is made from a windproof, felted wool fabric that consists of 50% wool and 50% polyester. This blend makes the pants warm and durable. The dense wool mixture is already water-repellent on its own; however, the material has additionally received an environmentally friendly Bionic Finish Eco treatment that enhances the natural water- and dirt-repellent properties of the wool. Unlike many of our other pants, the Metso Winter Hose does not have a membrane. Instead, it is equipped with a thick 120-g lining made of 100% pure wool from the German producer Lavalan. The Lavalan wool comes from European sheep, is mulesing-free, and is produced in Germany under strict requirements for traceability and animal welfare. Since the pants are equipped with several layers of warm wool instead of a membrane, they are very quiet and offer a number of additional benefits in low temperatures: Despite the robust material, the pants are temperature-regulating and breathable thanks to the natural properties of wool, providing fantastic comfort even on the coldest days. The Metso Winter Hose has a high waistband, ensuring that the lower back is protected during sitting hunts. The shaped knees are reinforced with an additional layer of fabric. Furthermore, the pants feature two open front pockets, one pocket with a zipper and an integrated cartridge holder on the right thigh, as well as two spacious slanted thigh pockets with zippers. The pants are reinforced at the ankles with durable Cordura and are adjustable with Velcro straps.
