Mauser Compact DA large caliber pistol with wooden grip panels. Barrel profile mirror polished, grooves and lands sharp-edged. In the 1990s, Mauser lacked a modern large caliber pistol for hunters and shooters in its program. During this time, Mauser was mainly focused on the production of hunting rifles. In collaboration with and manufactured by the Hungarian company FEG, the Mauser 90 DA model was created. An affordable double action large caliber pistol in 9mm Luger caliber. Like many large caliber pistols, this model was largely based on the famous Browning system. To offer a shorter and more manageable version for hunters and sport shooters, the Mauser Compact DA was developed and offered in various versions. All-steel pistol with all metal parts blackened. Sights with a post front sight and U-notch rear sight on a dovetail. With side decocking safety, external hammer with spur, slide stop lever, magazine release button, single and double action trigger, and brown walnut wooden grip panels with fine checkering. Original markings/stamps: Slide left = Mausertonne MAUSER-WERKE Oberndorf GmbH. Slide right = Mauser Compact DA Cal. 9mm. PARABELLUM. Well-maintained very good, almost new condition. Caliber: 9mm Luger. Valid proof: Hungary. Sight length: 14.5 cm. Barrel length: approx. 10.5 mm. Dimensions: approx. 18.5 x 14.5 cm. Weight: approx. 960 g.
