The Petromax reflector shade HK350/HK500 concentrates the light of the Petromax lamp and reflects it downwards. This results in several advantages: When the lamp is mounted in an elevated position, e.g. with the lamp holder, no light is lost upwards. This allows the lamp to illuminate a larger area very effectively. When viewed from above, the Petromax appears to have the reflector shade as a glare protection.
