The sixth generation of GLOCK pistols is all about ergonomics.
With the 6th generation, GLOCK is launching a completely redesigned pistol platform in 2026. The focus is on ergonomics, optical readiness, and a flat trigger – without compromising the well-known reliability and Safe Action System.

Palm Swell: The grip is now more contoured and rounded to better fit the natural curvature of the hand. This provides a significantly improved grip and more control – a notable difference that is particularly noticeable during rapid fire sequences.

RTF6 Grip Texture: The new RTF6 structure (Rough Textured Frame) combines two different surface textures, offering an optimal compromise between grip and comfort. It now extends over a larger area, including the enlarged thumb rest, which serves as a defined indexing point.

Extended Beavertail and Undercut: The enlarged beavertail at the back of the grip and the pronounced undercut at the trigger guard allow for a higher grip on the weapon. This reduces perceived recoil and facilitates a quick return to the target.

Extended Thumb Rest: The Gen 6 features a textured and extended thumb rest on both sides of the grip. This serves as a defined indexing point and allows the shooter to control the weapon more precisely through targeted pressure and reduce muzzle rise when shooting.

Flat Trigger: The Gen 6 comes standard with a flat trigger. This design allows for a more uniform finger placement and a more linear trigger control.

Reduced Trigger Reach: The trigger has been positioned slightly closer to the grip, which is particularly beneficial for shooters with smaller hands and provides better ergonomics.

The modular optics system (MOS) of the Gen 5 has been replaced by the new Gen6 Optic Ready System.

Direct Mounting: The new system features a deeper milling in the receiver. This allows the red dot sight to be directly screwed onto the receiver with three included polymer adapter plates, with the plates serving as precise seals and washers.
Adaptability and Durability: The design allows for the mounting of common footprints (such as RMR and DeltaPoint Pro), ensures an extremely flat profile, and increases the overall stability of the system.

Improved Serrations: The loading grip grooves on the slide have also been redesigned: The deeper angles of the serration provide a grippier surface, thus improving the handling of the slide, even under adverse conditions.
