Because the fabric repels moisture very well, allows air in, and is very flexible, these shirts are optimal for wearing under a plate carrier, chest rig, or vest. In addition to the usual hook-and-loop area on the sleeves, there is a zippered pocket for storing smaller equipment. The color versions Black, Olive, PL Woodland, MultiCam Black™, and Flecktarn have been expanded with pockets that allow the use of soft protective inserts.
