Zippo Lighter Guy Harvey "Old Man"

Guy Harvey is a unique artist, scientist, diver, master angler, conservationist, and explorer.

He was born on September 16, 1955, in Bad Lippspringe, emigrated at a young age with his father to Jamaica, studied with excellent academic performance in Scotland, and then returned to Jamaica to earn his doctorate at the University of West Indies.

Guy Harvey has been interested in marine life since childhood and spends most of his time fishing and diving with his father. He then began to paint the various fish and aquatic creatures he observed with his own brush. In 1985, he created 44 illustrations for Hemingway's masterpiece "The Old Man and the Sea" and exhibited this series of pen drawings in Jamaica.

Currently, Guy Harvey is fully committed to the protection of marine ecology and related work, hoping that people around the world will care more about this blue sea and marine life.

Since 2002, Zippo has received authorization from Guy Harvey to design motifs featuring his works. Over the years, a number of special lighters have been released.

Harvey's lifelike marine life, delicate and vibrant, has earned him much recognition, and his motifs are favorites among Zippo collectors.

The edition "Old Man" was released in 2005 in a limited edition of 2,000 lighters. This Zippo has the serial number 1096.
