What does "RIVAL" mean?
And what is the innovative technology behind it?
When naming the CANiK®️ competition pistol, the challenge was to find a name that defined the goal we had in developing the weapon itself. The goal was simple: this platform had to be equal to or better than anything used in the world of competitive shooting and give the user a solid advantage to win! In this sense, the name quickly became clear; this weapon was undoubtedly the "RIVAL."
No other name could express the design so clearly; now a superior model that can stand up to all other pistols takes the stage. With features specifically designed to outshine the competition, such as an improved beavertail, aggressive front slide serrations, a deeper trigger guard angle, a new holster fit-and-lock feature (HFL), and the new self-extracting magwell frame design. With the new frame design, equipped with an adjustable rear sight and a fiber optic front sight set, the maneuverability and target acquisition of the pistol are drastically increased. The SFx RIVAL®️ features a modular frame that allows for easy disassembly of the firearm. With this design, the user can disassemble their out-of-the-box pistol down to the smallest parts and then reassemble it using only the CANiK stamping tool. CANiK®️ continues to use the world's most advanced technology in trigger design to develop the diamond-cut, 90° angled, lighter aluminum trigger of the SFx RIVAL®️, which, along with the shortened pre-travel and reset distance, increases speed and accuracy. In addition to all these technical improvements, aesthetic aspects were also considered in the design of RIVAL: with a unique coating color called Canik Rival Grey, created exclusively for CANiK®️ by Cerakote®️ and applied to the frame and slide, as well as H122 gold on the trigger, magazine release, magazine base plate, magazine well, and slide stop lever, this weapon is sure to be a head-turner on any range.
With these features and its 127 mm barrel, the SFx RIVAL®️ can participate unrestricted in competitions organized by IDPA, IPSC, and USPSA.
