The advantage of the new lead-free EVOLUTION GREEN projectile lies in its outstanding responsiveness, achieved through a multiple perforation of the front tin core and the Speed-Tip projectile tip for a convincing instantaneous effect. This results in significantly shorter escape distances and less tracking for the hunter. The 7 x 64 is an all-round cartridge for Central Europe. It can be used in the mountains just as well as at short forest hunting distances. It is suitable for medium to large game such as wild sheep, chamois, or ibex. As a hunting cartridge, the .308 Win. is excellently suited for medium game up to medium red and wild boar. The strengths of the cartridge lie in its high versatility, high inherent precision, and pleasant shooting behavior. Due to the high precision of the .308 Win., it is also well-suited for competitive shooting at long distances. The cartridge replaced the .30-06 Springfield as the standard cartridge in the USA, and NATO has also adopted this cartridge. As a civilian cartridge, it was available almost simultaneously.
