Unlike a classic air rifle, the Ruger Targis Hunter does not look traditional. Instead, the break barrel presents itself in a straightforward manner with fiber optic sights, a 5-chamber silencer, and a Picatinny rail. The durable synthetic stock is equipped with textured grip surfaces that guarantee a secure hold even in the rain. Through the raised cheek piece, the view goes directly through the included 3–9x32 scope.
With its straightforward design, the Ruger Targis Hunter resembles a highly modern CO2 or compressed air weapon more than a classic break barrel rifle. Apart from the bright red front sight and the distinctive Ruger logo, it avoids flashy colors and presents itself in a tactical manner.
Thus, the robust synthetic stock is entirely black. Its insensitive surface forgives more demanding uses and offers a high level of grip in wet conditions with textured areas on the pistol grip and forearm. For aiming, the shooter has either a height and side-adjustable micrometer sight or the included 3-9 x 32 scope available out-of-the-box. Thanks to the universal Picatinny rail, the Targis Hunter can also accommodate additional optics.
For personal best performances, the trigger's first stage is adjustable.
