Training in the shooting range is becoming increasingly important. Not only because in many places shooting proofs are required to even participate in a driven hunt. For reasons of fair hunting, every hunter must have the expectation of optimizing their shooting skills under realistic conditions.
Training in the shooting range cannot be accomplished with just one box of ammunition. With the various film sequences, hundreds of shots can be fired quickly. The usual hunting ammunition cannot be used for this – it would drain any wallet too much.
The manufacturer Sellier & Bellot, known for its affordable ammunition, has now developed a special shooting range ammunition that is also ideal for other disciplines, such as the "running boar." Shooting ranges are always enclosed spaces, and high shooting frequencies are the norm there. The shooter is increasingly exposed to the resulting emissions, whether sound or air. Hearing protection can guard against sound. However, it becomes more difficult with gaseous pollutants. Ventilation systems can exchange the room air, but every shooter knows the specific taste right after the shot – the spatial proximity between the cartridge chamber, muzzle, nose, and mouth is indeed very small. And since shooting with a gas mask is difficult, the only option left is to construct the cartridges themselves to be low in pollutants.

Low in pollutants. Exactly what Sellier & Bellot has now done. The new "Screen Ammo" features a lead-free zinc core bullet with a tin-coated jacket and a low-pollutant NONTOX boxer primer. Due to this construction, the cartridge releases hardly any traces of lead, mercury, barium, or antimony and is therefore ideal for indoor shooting.

Low recoil. The high shooting frequency in the shooting range is not something everyone takes lightly. With the new "Screen Ammo," Sellier & Bellot has loaded a special powder that significantly reduces bullet speed and thus recoil. However, there is still enough power available to ensure reliable function in "self-loaders." Young hunters will also appreciate the pleasant shooting behavior. Of course, the "Screen Ammo" is not suitable for hunting itself.

Low cleaning effort. A visit to a shooting range usually entails a laborious barrel cleaning. The new "Screen Ammo" keeps this effort to a minimum: The tin-coated bullet jacket reduces friction in the barrel and, in combination with the lower bullet speed, reduces heat development in the barrel. This leads to significantly less residue in the barrel.

Familiar point of impact. No one wants to zero their rifle specifically for training. With the new "Screen Ammo," this is not necessary! The point of impact is the same as with the usual hunting ammunition. Training can therefore begin immediately without having to adjust the sight.

Low costs. Intensive training and thus improved shooting results are prerequisites for fair hunting and ensure safe handling of the weapon. These are central points for the future of hunting. Therefore, Sellier & Bellot offers the "Screen Ammo" in the practical 50-piece box. And Frankonia deliberately keeps the packaging price low so that regular training is not a question of finances.
