The new GLOCK 17 GEN 5 is a pistol from the series of standard models by Glock in caliber 9 mm Luger. Due to its dimensions and low weight, this semi-automatic pistol is versatile. Compared to the previous generation, Glock has optimized the grip, given the weapon a new, even more resistant nDLC coating, and made the slide stop lever ambidextrous. High improved precision through the new Marksman barrel and an optimized sighting system with a larger light gap between rear and front sight distinguish this generation from the past.

The standard model G17 Gen5 is very well suited for professional firearm carriers or as a backup weapon for hunting and is also applicable for sporting uses.

Front serrations also in the front slide area, ambidextrous slide stop lever, revised magazine funnel, Safe-Action trigger, grip without finger grooves for better grip feel, individual adjustment through various grip back straps (2 adjustable frame sizes with and without beavertail), optimized sighting, GLOCK Marksman barrel with polygonal barrel interior profile.
