The new GLOCK 19 GEN 5 M.O.S. is a pistol from Glock's compact weapon series in caliber 9 mm Luger. Compared to the previous generation, Glock has given the weapon a new, even more resistant nDLC coating and made the slide stop lever ambidextrous. High improved precision through the new Marksman barrel and an optimized sighting system with a larger light gap between rear and front sight distinguish this generation from the past. The Modular Optic System allows for quick installation of a red dot sight.

Other firearm manufacturers refer to such weapon models as OR pistols, meaning pistols that are optic ready, prepared for red dot sights.

Front serrations also in the front slide area, ambidextrous slide stop lever, revised magazine funnel, Safe-Action trigger, grip without finger grooves for better grip feel, individual adjustment through various grip back straps (2 adjustable frame sizes with and without beavertail), optimized sighting, GLOCK Marksman barrel with polygonal internal barrel profile.
