The Winchester SXP (Super X Pump) Defender is the reference model for modern pump-action shotguns. The heart of the SXP Defender is the exclusive rotating bolt system. This mechanism uses the recoil impulse of the shot to unlock the bolt at the moment of firing. This significantly shortens the cycling path and massively accelerates the loading process. Robust construction and intuitive ergonomics

The SXP Defender has been uncompromisingly designed for practical use. The matte black synthetic stock is extremely resistant to impacts, moisture, and temperature fluctuations. The deeply integrated checkering on the fore-end guarantees a secure grip when cycling, even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves.

The matte black finish of the metal parts prevents light reflections and effectively protects the weapon from corrosion. Thanks to the perfect balance, the Defender can be quickly brought to the shoulder and allows for instinctive target acquisition in any situation.
Precision and ballistic performance

With its 46 cm (18 inch) short barrel, the SXP Defender offers excellent maneuverability. The barrel is hard-chromed on the inside, which not only increases its lifespan but also significantly facilitates cleaning after high shot sequences. The shotgun is equipped with a fixed cylinder bore, which ensures optimal dispersion with shot loads as well as precise guidance of shotgun slugs.

A classic brass bead front sight provides a clear sight picture and quick target acquisition at short and medium distances.
Safety and easy maintenance

Safety is ensured by an easily accessible cross bolt safety located in front of the trigger guard. The housing made of high-strength aluminum alloy keeps the overall weight low without sacrificing stability. Like all Winchester SXP models, the Defender can also be easily disassembled for field cleaning.
