BUBIX Pro

With the BUBIX Bro, the Austrian company Bubix GmbH presents its latest development in the field of sub-compact pistols.

As an experienced pistol designer, W. Bubits has already made an international name for himself through the development of the Steyr M9 pistol and the Caracal as well as the BB6 developer.

The BUBIX Bro pistol, available in Germany since January 2022, is now the youngest development in the Bubits family. The weapon is available in many color variations.

The compact pistol measuring 161.5x24.4x121mm has a barrel length of approx. 90mm. This places the BUBIX Bro between the Glock 43 and the Glock 19.

Special features include the closed bolt back with laterally mounted ejection port, the wide trigger with very short reset and without integrated safety lever, and the innovative frame safety, which only disengages the weapon when the grip is fully wrapped. Other highlights are the ambidextrous magazine release and slide stop lever as well as the one-button disassembly.

The rather slim frame of the BUBIX Bro suggests the use of a single-stack magazine by its size, but in fact a double-stack magazine with a capacity of 12+1 cartridges is used.

This gives the weapon a significant advantage in firepower compared to competing models with single-stack magazines while maintaining a balanced grip.

In addition, the BUBIX Bro has a slight front heaviness, which is usually only found in the field of sport pistols. Due to the bolt design and an innovative locking block, the barrel of the BUBIX Bro only tilts a few millimeters when firing, keeping the weapon very stable in the hold line without major muzzle rise. In the loaded state, a signal pin protrudes visibly and tangibly from the top of the bolt, reliably indicating the presence of a cartridge in the chamber.

The original BUBIX Bro plastic holster, which you receive with every weapon, almost completely encloses the entire pistol. A lock can be attached in the trigger area. The holster also features a retention cord that can be attached to the belt or waistband and remains on the body when quickly drawing the pistol.

Another gimmick worth mentioning is the tool-free base plate exchange of the magazines. The weapon is also available in 3 different calibers - 9x18 Makarov, 9x19, and 9x21 IMI. The barrels can be exchanged in the same weapon with the same bolt, which is another highlight of this Austrian manufactory pistol.
