The present firearm is a straight pull repeater from Merkel in Suhl. As a used firearm that has only been fired for sighting in and otherwise stored in a cabinet, it is in absolutely like-new condition. This straight pull repeater is ideally suited for hunting and sporting use. With its short cycling distance and very good trigger, it is particularly suitable for driven hunts or rapid shot sequences. Its escape sight with yellow illuminated inserts and red plastic bead allows for quick and intuitive aiming. The repeater rifle is cocked via a hand cocking mechanism on the stock neck. After the first shot, the firearm remains cocked with each cycling. By pushing the hand cocking mechanism and simultaneously pressing the button on the hand cocking mechanism, the long gun is relaxed again. A red dot under the hand cocking mechanism indicates when the firearm is in a cocked state. The hand cocking mechanism provides a high level of safety for this firearm.

Thanks to the thoughtful design by Merkel, this repeater rifle can be disassembled without tools, and a change barrel or change bolt can be installed.

The Merkel RX Helix in the powerful caliber .9,3x62 comes with a pre-mounted scope from Zeiss. This is the powerful ZEISS Victory HT 3-12x56 with illuminated reticle. This scope allows for very good and precise targeting even in twilight or at night, even against dark or confusing backgrounds.

This rifle is particularly suitable for hunters who deliver high shooting performance and have a preference for modern design, but place value on quality and craftsmanship.
