The “Improved” Flash Hider was used following the discontinuation of the early “Duckbill” 3 Prong Flash Hider, as the thin prongs tended to bend & break. This version is proper for Model 602 & 603 rifles, as well as the XM16E1 issued to the US Military and used during Vietnam.
