The Glock 20 Gen.4 is a Glock variant in caliber 10 mm Auto, developed from the Glock 17, which was created in the early 1980s for the Austrian Armed Forces and is one of the first pistols with a polymer frame.
Since the weapon is made of approximately 40% particularly durable plastic, it is very lightweight. To ensure stability and durability, the frame is reinforced with a few steel elements. The complete weapon consists of only 34 components, providing a high degree of reliability.

The development of the Glock Safe-Action trigger system represented a milestone in firearm construction. In this system, the firing pin is partially tensioned by retracting the slide. Only when the trigger is pulled does the firing pin receive full tension, an internal drop safety is released, and the cartridge is ignited.
This ensures a consistent trigger weight from the first shot, combined with very safe operation.

Overall, each Glock pistol has three internal safeties: a trigger safety integrated into the trigger, a firing pin safety, and a drop safety. All three are automatically disengaged when the trigger is pulled.

The shape and angle of the grip, combined with a short trigger travel, allow for very fast shooting sequences and excellent shooting characteristics, while the adjustable rear sight ensures a secure aim.

To minimize recoil, the Glock 20 Gen. 4 is equipped with a dual recoil spring, and interchangeable backstraps allow for optimization of the grip.

A Tenifer coating on the steel surfaces protects the weapon from corrosion even under the most extreme conditions.
