With it, MAUSER has consistently optimized the model 18 for hunting in open terrain and shooting at longer distances. Visually, this is already emphasized by the earthy color of the polymer stock, which has its decisive advantage in the buttstock: Thanks to the infinitely adjustable comb installed there, the Field Hunting rifle can be perfectly adapted to the shooter in no time, ensuring that even challenging shots are executed perfectly. The necessary top precision is drawn from the "Field Hunting" rifle's 56 cm long solid barrel, which, with its 19 mm diameter, delivers match results. The fluting of the cold-hammered barrel not only ensures better cooling behavior during large series of shots at the stand but also keeps the overall weight manageable at 3,160 grams, which remains literally bearable. Of course, MAUSER's new model comes standard with an M17x1 muzzle thread.
