The Norwegian manufacturer Hausken has been specializing in the development and production of silencers since 1992. All Hausken silencers are made from high-alloy aluminum and manufactured on state-of-the-art machines. Each part is hard-anodized for maximum durability. The sophisticated design, precise manufacturing, and high-quality materials ensure maximum sound suppression performance while maintaining low weight and compact dimensions.
Maximum sound suppression performance in a very compact silencer. This is offered by the JD 184 XTRM MK2. The silencer only extends the weapon by 10 cm and still provides the sound suppression performance of its larger brother, the JD 224*. At the same time, the JD 184 XTRM MK2 weighs only 313 g. It is the ideal silencer for weapons in standard calibers such as .308 Win. or 8x57 IS. Due to the use of high-alloy aluminum, this very compact silencer is even suitable for use with magnum calibers. This silencer is not suitable for weapons with open sights. The maximum outer barrel diameter is 23 mm.
The silencers generally have a thread of M18x1. If you want to use the silencer for a weapon with a thread of M15x1, it must be replaced with a thread adapter M15x1. This would then need to be glued in place. It is recommended to have this done by a gunsmith. The silencer can then only be used for M15x1.
The complete product range consists of very lightweight silencers that consistently rank among the top compared to other manufacturers.

Notes on silencers: Existing hunting law prohibitions or restrictions on the use of silencers in the respective federal states must be observed. Ballistically, the use of silencers with normal common hunting ammunition has no impact – the effect of the projectile remains the same. The perception of the surroundings is also not affected. Silencers reduce recoil as well as noise at the source. This protects the environment (e.g., hunting dogs) from noise damage. They almost completely reduce muzzle flash, making it easier to perceive the drawing and escape direction of the game in poor light. The silencer should always be removed before pulling through the weapon to avoid damage to the muzzle brakes. For cleaning and preserving silencers, penetrating oils are recommended. High-temperature resistant greases are effective for maintaining the threads.
