In 2013, the conditions for passenger transport for air traffic in the USA were to be relaxed, which would have made the Roadie legal on board (in carry-on luggage), for example. However, due to pressure from the US pilots' union, this relaxation did not come to fruition. Nevertheless, the Roadie is an appealing little pen-knife that is also a useful companion outside of an airplane. The Roadie is opened with two hands, and the blade is held open by an innovative mechanism but can be closed again by overcoming the holding force without deactivating a lock. The handle is made of lightweight and durable FRN.
