The differences between a Helle knife and most other knives are manifold. The biggest is probably that Helle uses a three-layer steel. This means that a core of high-quality knife steel is forged between two additional layers of tough 18/8 stainless steel. This makes the blade nearly unbreakable and keeps it sharp longer. The handle is made from the woods of rosewood and birch burl and is visually enhanced by fine leather strips. The wood pieces are stored in an oil bath for two days so that the oil can penetrate to the core. Since Helle makes no compromises on quality, the leather sheath is also produced in-house. The result is a sheath with high-quality workmanship and excellent fit. Last article (original photo) Handle length: 11.8 cm Blade length: 9.5 cm Overall length: 21.3 cm Weight: 141 g
