The "Running Rabbit" dummy from Mystique is designed to simulate a fleeing rabbit in full motion. The dog is supposed to develop steadiness and learn not to be distracted from its task.
The dummy works very simply: You just screw the ground anchor into the ground. One end of the 10m long rubber cord is attached directly to the anchor. The other end is attached to the dummy. When you pull on the dummy and then let go, the dummy "zips" across the ground like a real fleeing rabbit. The movement automatically awakens the dog's hunting instinct. With the dummy, several traits such as obedience, steadiness, and concentration can be trained. On one hand, the dog is supposed to stay lying down when you have laid it down. It must not follow any game without a command...
