With the Figure 9 from NiteIze, ropes can be securely tensioned and tied down. The end of the rope is simply passed through the openings and tightened (2 different options), it remains taut and secured, and this with minimal physical effort and without annoying knots. The carabiner version also allows for quick attachment and detachment without having to loosen the rope.
