Used weapon
Signal pistol, Cogswell & Harrison, brass barrel and housing, small defect (spring break). The signal pistol manufactured by Cogswell & Harrison London is an identical copy of the Webley & Scott signal pistol used by the British armed forces. To produce the necessary quantities, the blueprints of proven designs were often passed on to other companies, as is the case here. The design by Webley & Scott was presented in 1914 and shortly thereafter adopted by the British armed forces. It was used during both the First and Second World Wars.
The present specimen is in good to satisfactory condition considering its age, with light to moderate signs of use and rust. The weapon is marked with the manufacturing mark for the year 1921 as well as acceptance stamps from the British armed forces. Unfortunately, the spring that tensions the closing element is broken.
