The semi-automatic pistol Glock 17 gen5 is the latest version of the proven standard pistol Glock 17.

Many improvements have been made to the proven concept of the Glock 17.

The grip has been revised and the finger grooves introduced in 1998 have been removed. This allows the shooter to grip the Glock 17 gen5 according to their needs and to adjust the grip of the Glock 17 gen5 more easily to their individual preferences.
In the newer models of the Glock 17 gen5, the slide is equipped with front serrations. These grooves in the front area of the slide facilitate, for example, the control of the pistol's loading status.
The Glock 17 gen5 features a magazine funnel, also known as a jet funnel. The magazine funnel significantly eases the insertion of the magazine during reloading. This is particularly noticeable in stressful situations.
The Glock 17 gen5 has a ambidextrous slide stop lever that can be easily operated by both right-handed and left-handed users.
The sights of the Glock 17 gen5 have also been revised. The light gap between the rear sight and front sight has been increased. This makes aiming easier, even in poor lighting conditions.
Glock introduces the Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) with the Glock 17 gen5. This barrel improves the inherent accuracy of the weapon compared to the predecessor models of the Glock 17 gen5.
The surfaces of the Glock 17 gen5 receive new coatings that increase the durability of the coatings.

Please note that the extensive technical revisions ensure that the grips and slides of the Glock 17 Generation 5 are no longer compatible with those of Generations 1-3.
