Origin of this caliber: 

The 9.3x62 is ideal for forest hunting and suitable for medium shooting distances. It is particularly gentle on the game when hunting roe deer.  

The 9.3x62 was developed around the year 1905 and was intended for use specifically in the then German colonies in Africa. However, the caliber was quickly used with great success on Central European big game, especially moose, red deer, and wild boar, so it did not remain a purely "Africa caliber."  

Cineshot by RWS is the first special cartridge for shooting cinemas and is not suitable for hunting use.

CINESHOT by RWS is the first special cartridge for shooting cinemas. Thanks to the consistent loading and finely tuned bullet geometry, CINESHOT offers good precision. The special nickel coating minimizes friction in the barrel, allowing for intensive training without overheating and extensive cleaning. CINESHOT has sufficient gas pressure and guarantees safe cartridge feeding in all commercially available semi-automatic rifles.

When shooting with conventional rifle ammunition, lead particles are released into the air. Especially during training at indoor shooting ranges, the lead exposure in the immediate vicinity of the shooter is relatively high. RWS CINESHOT ® cartridges prevent this in two ways: Firstly, thanks to the lead-free GreenFire ignition technology, which has been used in NATO-qualified ammunition for years. This means no lead enters the shooter's environment. Additionally, the encapsulated bullet at the rear prevents the detachment of lead particles during firing. With CINESHOT ®, you can pursue your passion without worry and optimally prepare for the hunting season.

Barrel deposits are also common with intensive training using conventional cartridges and require time-consuming cleaning of the barrel. With CINESHOT ®, such problems are a thing of the past. The bullet is coated with a special coating to minimize friction in the barrel and thus barrel heating. You can shoot longer and need to clean the rifle barrel much less frequently!
