150 years of knives from Böker! This is definitely a very good reason to celebrate. And of course, we want to involve all our customers and fans in this memorable anniversary. Therefore, we present to you a truly extraordinary series with unique models. The Damascus blades of these exclusive knives are, in the literal sense, a piece of living history from the Böker manufactory.

In the "old times," before electricity became the standard, steam power was the main energy source for the numerous machines in production. This centrally generated steam power was transmitted through large flywheels and transmission belts across the entire manufactory to the individual machines, thus driving the various machines. One of these huge transmission wheels still stands today as a memento on our company premises, keeping alive the memory of the early days of our company and the transformation we have undergone in the last one and a half centuries.

We have taken a solid piece from the shaft of this transmission wheel and use it to forge the 180-layer Damascus steel in a raindrop pattern, which is made for this exclusive anniversary edition by Chad Nichols. Thus, every owner of a knife from this series holds a true and authentic piece of Böker history in their hands. This unique way of creating this rare blade material and the associated efforts are intended to be understood as a sign of our appreciation towards our customers, who have supported us with their loyalty and joy in our products for over 15 decades.

Each knife is equipped with a handle whose historical significance is hardly inferior to that of the blade: The Böker tree logo is famously derived from a giant chestnut tree that stood on our first company premises. And although this chestnut was felled by a storm in the early 20th century, the smoked chestnut wood of the handle reflects the memory of the origin of the world-famous logo in an unparalleled way in each individual piece of this series. A special anniversary emblem, embedded in the handle, adds a noble accent. Each knife is handcrafted in our manufactory in Solingen and strictly limited to 150 pieces worldwide. Delivery is made with an individual serial number in a commemorative frame display and with a certificate of authenticity.
